| The
Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) at Lincoln School is wonderful!
They do a tremendous job helping the teachers and students. The PTO
has three major fund raisers. They include: selling Mr. Z's frozen
pizzas, hosting "Breakfast With Santa", and holding a penny carnival.
During parent teachers conferences, the PTO holds a book fair where
parents, students, and teachers can purchase books for the school,
students, and teachers. The money earned from the fund raisers and
the book fair have been used to purchase many things for Lincoln.
The following is a list (not inclusive) of some of the things the
PTO has purchased for the students and faculty of Lincoln School:
* PC computers
* new equipment
for the playground
* ceiling
fans for the classrooms
* landscaping
around the school
* screens
for the windows
* indoor
recess games
* field
trips for each grade level
* special
programs to come to Lincoln
* money
for the teachers to buy
classroom materials
The
PTO meets once a month (sometimes twice a month) at 6:00 P.M.
at Lincoln School. The meetings are typically held the first Tuesday
of each month. Please see the schedule listed below for the exact
dates. Any parent/guardian of a Lincoln School student is encouraged
to attend. Call the school at 309-833-2095 for more information.
