Lincoln Habits
The Lincoln Habits are based on The 7 Habits for Happy Kids by Sean Covey and The Leader in Me by Stephen R. Covey. Each month the school focuses on a different habit. The school day begins with a daily assembly where the monthly habit is reviewed with a skit, a song, a cheer, or in other creative ways developed by the teachers and/or students. Each day every classroom has a class meeting to further discuss the habit.
The Lincoln Habits:
- Be Proactive
- Begin With The End in Mind
- Put First Things First
- Think Win-Win
- Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood
- Synergize
- Sharpen the Saw
Habit 1: Be Proactive
During the months of August and September, students learned about being proactive.
