Social Skills
Lincoln School is a "STOP AND THINK" school.  When children need help solving problems, our staff will use the following steps.

Try it at home. It really works! It is most effective when used at home
and school.

Step 1:  Calmly Ask your child to "STOP AND THINK".
Step 2:  Remind your child:
"DO YOU WANT TO MAKE A GOOD CHOICE OR A BAD CHOICE?"
Step 3: Ask your child:
"WHAT ARE YOUR CHOICES OR STEPS?"
Step 4:  Instruct your child:
"DO IT:" or "SHOW ME THE
GOOD CHOICE".
Step 5:  Tell your child:
"GOOD JOB" or "YOU SHOULD BE PROUD OF YOURSELF".
